We are an independently owned, CatFriendly Gold certified feline-only micropractice and are looking for professionals passionate about the care of cats.
Us: CatCare, a CatFriendly Gold cats-only practice in Eugene, Oregon, the “World’s Greatest City of the Arts and Outdoors”. Mission: We provide exceptional, patient-centered care for cats by doing our very best for every patient, every time. CatCare is an independently owned, 2-doctor practice, open all weekdays, 8:30 am-5:30 pm and 2 Saturday mornings per month. No on-call; significant overtime is very rare to nonexistent.
CatCare recommends vaccines, but risk assessment is individualized and we do not over-vaccinate; we do not declaw, and we do not euthanize for convenience reasons. We advocate for the patient first, and spend significant time responding promptly and in detail to client concerns and questions so we understand and support the context in which the patient lives and is cared for. We are small, friendly, relaxed, and have fun most of the time because we enjoy our patients and clients! We are an EEO employer.
You: Loves cats, passionate about their care and well-being. 1-2 years or more experience preferred, but will train motivated new or pending (3-6 month) licensee. Our ideal candidate is caring, compassionate, good communicator, organized, motivated and energetic, able to work independently as well as team member and leader, sense of humor, reliable with strong work ethic, attentive to detail, flexible, and passionate about continual learning.

Licensed Veterinary Technician
Duties: venipuncture, cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, anesthesia induction and monitoring, in-house lab machines, nursing care, dental and body radiography, Doppler blood pressure, dental prophylaxis, surgical preparation/assisting, low stress/CatFriendly handling, assisting with exams/procedures, computer/practice management software use, client education and communications, injections and treatments, pharmacy and maintenance of controlled drug logs, ordering supplies; mentoring and delegating to non-licensed veterinary assistants.
Compensation competitive and based on experience; vision and dental insurance; personal medical insurance subsidy if needed, license fee, paid NAVTA and AAFP memberships, paid AAFP CatFriendly Professional online certification course; 6 paid holidays if these fall on regular work days; 10 days/year paid time off, continuing education, pet care/supply discount.
